PageRank Update in December 2013

Yesterday December 5, although responsible for spam google (Matt Cutts) announced not long ago on his twitter that there would not be an update of the PageRank, Google has surprised us with the second update of 2013.
Have they brought us an early Christmas present to compensate for the wait???.
At first sight, the update does not seem to have much of a modification in the existing sites, except for some small drops of a point. Still must check it more deeply.
Where it dose have a considerable variation is in new sites that have never had PageRank and they were possibly waiting for a new update since February this year.
We end the year then with 2 updates below the 4 per year that Google had us used to lately. This is very likely to be caused by the significant changes that have taken place in their algorithms as I pointed out previously. Let me remind you of them:
- Panda Update # 25 in March
- Updated Penguin 2.0 in May
- Panda Update # 26 in July
- Implementation of Hummingbird ( Hummingbird ) , late August
- Updated Penguin 2.1 on October 4
