PageRank update in June 2014

It's mid-June 2014 and we keep waiting for the first PageRank update for this year. As a prediction I will say that I think the update will be later this month of June 2014.

I will explain my prediction:
Lately Google seems very busy in updating their algorithms to combat spam and others supposingly penalize low quality websites in the eyes of Google.

We can find as important updates this year:

• Page Layout - Posted by Matt Cutts via Twitter on February 6.
• Panda 34 - Great update as named by Mats Cutts Panda 4.0 on May 20, 2014.
• Payday Loan – On May 18 and announced by Matt Cutts Payday Loan 3.0 on June 12, 2014

All this fuss of updates, added to the desire of the algorithm of Google being more internal, is causing to increase the time of updates from a, more or less, regular 3 months thime to around 10. Like the last one and always adjusting to the update of the other algorithms (mostly spam).

For all this, though it is almost impossible to determine an update I am inclined to think that 1 update a year would be too spaced and 2 annual would be within it's likely. As we are already in mid-2014 is likely to see an update soon and if that happens we would have a new pattern of about 6 months between updates.

The fact that PageRank has become a "business", where you pay for links on high PR pages and where they artificially increase the PageRank to obtain more benefits. Perhaps that is why Google has spaced more updates to avoid a bit and no become an easy business at short term, since the links must be maintained over time ande demonstrate thier quality.
